Oh no! We forgot to use the protection!!

Posted on: October 31, 2019

Sex without any contraception. EPIC FAIL? Well – it can happen to any of us. But now, you need to be smart and act fast!

Here’s what to do:

1. Use emergency contraception (often called the morning after pill) to avoid an unintended pregnancy For the best chance for it to work, you should take the emergency pill as soon as possible. Emergency contraceptives are most effective when taken within 12-24 hours after unprotected sex.

2. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)?

No thanks! Sex is fun but STIs are not. Talk to your healthcare provider and get tested. And remember: not all STIs do cause symptoms!

3. Prepare better next time. Find a reliable contraception method that suits your body and lifestyle, so you can avoid the stress for your next experiences.
