WHOOPS! An accident happened. And what to do now? Well, emergency contraception (often called the morning after pill) could be a solution. You should act fast, because emergency contraception is most effective when taken within the first 12-24 hours after having unprotected sex.
Where to get emergency contraception depends on the country you live in. Some sell it over the counter without a prescription; others demand a doctor’s visit first. Some countries even have certain age restrictions.
To find out ask your healthcare provider, pharmacy, or at least the internet.
